Nominate an artist
The Absent Gallery is offering you the chance to see a virtual exhibition of your favorite artist, whilst giving a gift which will help to support their artistic practice.
Any South West of England based artist can be nominated. The successful nominee will be invited to work with The Absent Gallery to create a solo 3d virtual interactive exhibition of their artwork. The virtual environment creates a wonderful interprtation of walking around a real world exhibition, enabling visitors to view artwork up close and in context with a whole body of work. In addition with intergrated augmented reality technology, visitors can download an app to view the artist’s artwork on the walls of their own homes through their mobile devices.
The exhibition duration will be for 2 months from a date to be agreed.
0% commission will be taken on exhibited artwork, so this really is a gift that just keeps on giving support to the artist.

Announcement of Results: 8th August 2020
Who Can Be Nominated
Any LIVING and practicing artist based in the South West of England may be nominated. The artists may work in any medium and style. 2D artists are preferred given the nature of the virtual exhibition but we would welcome nominations for 3D artists as well.
Selection
Once the nominations are in we will tally up the artist count, the artist with the most nominations will be contacted and invited to particate. In the event of a draw The Absent Gallery’s curator John Gammans will make a final decission.
